This is an excellent article. It is nice to see that we can see more & fairer reporting coming out the US.

Although I have points I want to make.

Although 1389 & the pogroms of the 16th & 17th century do have their place in history & they did make the Serbian population grow smaller it wasn’t until the end of WW2 that the Albanians became a clear majority in Kosovo.

After nearly a century of various pogroms & wars the final blow was dealt by the Croatian dictator of Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito. After WW2 over 200.000 Serbs were not allowed back in Kosovo, that coupled with an ‘’open’’ border with communist Albania out which came thousands & thousands of ‘’refugees’’ made Kosovo an Albanian majority province. This is a point that still does not come out as much as it should.

All the problems in the Balkans today can be traced the 19th century & I hope we will find a way of correcting the mistakes of the past so we can have a better future.

Well written and most important very accurate when history is concerned as well as present day. I am not sure however about the solution becouse from all aparent reasons seams to me that there is no way we(Serbs) and them (shiptars ) can live together in one state. We are not able to forget and forgive all bad things they did to us and they do not want to live with us and stop with all bad things that they are still involved with(terosts activities, crime etc.) I am not politician and I am not sure what would be for the best, I am glad that somebady is telling the truth and I hope that lots people will get educated by reading you article.
