Gay parade in Serbia canceled
Organizers of the homosexual parade in Belgrade have called off their march scheduled for this Sunday after their refusal to march in an alternate venue that the police said is more secure for them.
Organizers of the homosexual parade in Serbia declined to move their march to another place that the police deemed more secure for them and insisted they hold a parade where their safety can be in danger from extremists that vow violence.
Homosexual organizers have not explained why they insist to march in an area that is deemed unsafe to them.
Serbia’s President on Friday pledged tough action against extremist groups that have threatened the homosexual “pride” march.
“Law and order will be respected in Serbia,” said Serbian President Tadic.
Police said that the choice homosexuals made to march is not the most secure place because the urban outlay precludes the police from an optimal provision of safety.
The gathering was to be Serbia’s first gay pride march since 2001.
Many in Serbia, including the Muslim and Catholic minorities, find the planned homosexual march offensive and unnecessary. Sexuality, they say, is the private matter and find a “gay” parade as equally offensive as an explicitly heterosexual one.
However, some media in the West made the so-called “gay pride” in Serbia as some sort of a test of tolerance of the Serbian society.
“The move casts doubt on Serbia’s determination to become a more open society following a bloody recent history,” editorializes EU News disguised as a supposed news report.
Associated Press said that the homosexual parade is a matter of “pro Western reforms and [promotion of] human rights”.
Amnesty International has cited a case of a transsexual prostitute that got killed in Serbia as an example of violation of human rights of homosexuals.
A Canadian report on Prostitution and Pornography concluded that prostitutes have a mortality rate 40 times higher than their national average.
Serbian Orthodox Church has called the scheduled gathering a “parade of shame” and called their faithful to refrain from violence.
The Church has condemned the violent threats that some hooligan groups in Serbia have issued over the homosexual march.
The organizers of the homosexual march have said that they have gathered evidence against violent groups that have threaten them and expect the state to side with their claims.

SERBIANNA
Serbia you are showing the world that you cannot be held hostage by the agenda of the liberal left wing western media.
Congratulations to you for your actions
True!
I don’t agree with Gay bashing but I don’t think a parade is required to celebrate your preferred sexuality.
It’s very clear what the EU wants here isn’t it?
It’s much beter that it’s cancelled.
Milan I agree with you! Everbody can live the life as they please, but keep it off the streets.
Very good!! Now the Serbian tax payers do not need to pay for the gays inevitable hospital visits after the parade.
A victory for family, community and Christianity everywhere! Well done, Serbia!
No such diseases will ever enter Serbia, if these gays think they can pollute Serbia, they better be ready for blood. VICTORY FOR THE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!! LONG LIVE SERBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything that comes from the West has and will be BAD for Serbia! FACT!
