Montenegro beach sought by Abu Dhabi

Nov 5, 2008

Company controlled by Abu Dhabi’s Sultan has presented plans to Montenegro in which it seeks to buy miles of its sand beach near city of Ulcinj as well as all the property about the gulf of river Bojana which divides Montenegro and Albania.

Sulejman al Fahim, director of Abu Dhabi’s Hydra Properties, unveiled the plan worth 5 billion Euros.

Montenegro seeks to privatize the beach in Ulcinj called Great Beach.

The plans so far envision renting the beach for 90 years to a property developer.

A small country such as Montenegro should be careful as to whom they allow to invest in their country.
